Photography, As a Way of Being
Photography is not my job.
It is how I slow down.
I work with film because it asks something from me—patience, intention, trust.
Every frame matters.
Every click is a decision, not a reflex.
Film keeps me honest. It doesn’t rush, and it doesn’t forgive carelessness. I like that.
I photograph because I am drawn to moments that would otherwise disappear unnoticed.
Small gestures.
Light falling the right way.
Silence between movements.
These are the things that stay with me, and film is how I remember them.
I’m not interested in perfection or spectacle.
I’m interested in presence.
Photography, for me, is a dialogue between time, light, and instinct. I observe more than I intervene. I wait more than I direct. The image is already there—I just have to be patient enough to recognize it.
This practice is deeply personal. It comes from curiosity, discipline, and respect for the medium.
From loading film by hand. From accepting uncertainty. From trusting that what’s meant to appear will appear.
Film teaches me to look carefully.
To feel first, then press the shutter.
These photographs are not about trends or attention.
They are about craft, memory, and the quiet satisfaction of doing something with care. They are fragments of time, held gently, without urgency.
This is how I see.
This is why I photograph.
